Deep Diver Course

The Deep Diver course is a specialty program that focuses on teaching you the techniques and safety procedures for diving at greater depths. Diving deeper than 18 meters (60 feet) opens up new opportunities to explore underwater landscapes, shipwrecks, and marine life that are not accessible at shallower depths. This course will prepare you for safe, enjoyable deep dives up to 40 meters (130 feet).

Course Plan:

1- Self-study online (through the PADI Learning Portal)
2- Practical Sessions: The course includes both theoretical lessons and open water dives, where you'll:

  • Learn how to plan and conduct deep dives.
  • Understand the physiological effects of deep diving.
  • Practice the use of dive tables and computers for deep dive planning.
  • Gain hands-on experience in deep water, with a focus on safety, buoyancy, and dive timing.

  • Planning and executing deep dives safely.
  • The physiological effects of diving at deeper depths.
  • The importance of proper buoyancy control and gas management.
  • Understanding the risks of deep diving, such as nitrogen narcosis and oxygen toxicity.
  • Deep dive equipment considerations.


Course Duration:
Typically completed over 2 days, with at least 4 open water dives.

Eligibility:

Age: 15 years or older.
Certification: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).
Prerequisite: Comfort and confidence in open water diving.


After completing the Deep Diver course, you'll be able to safely dive to depths of up to 40 meters (130 feet), opening up new opportunities for underwater exploration. You’ll also be well-prepared to tackle other specialty diving courses in the future.
