Wreck Diver Course

The Wreck Diver course is a specialized program designed to teach you how to safely explore and navigate wrecks. Diving on wrecks offers a unique opportunity to discover underwater history, but it also requires specific skills and knowledge to ensure your safety and enjoyment. In this course, you'll learn how to plan wreck dives, use appropriate techniques, and explore wrecks with confidence.

Course Plan:

1- Self-study online (through the PADI Learning Portal)
2- Practical Sessions: The course includes both theoretical lessons and open water dives, where you'll:

  • Learn how to plan wreck dives.
  • Understand the hazards associated with wreck diving (e.g., entanglement, overhead environments).
  • Practice navigation techniques and entry/exit methods for wrecks.
  • Learn how to safely enter wrecks (if allowed) and explore without compromising safety.


Key Topics Covered:

  • Planning and conducting wreck dives.
  • Understanding the hazards of wreck diving (e.g., disorientation, entanglement).
  • Wreck dive equipment and techniques.
  • Basic penetration skills and entry procedures (if applicable).
  • Environmental considerations when diving on wrecks.


Course Duration:
Typically completed over 2 days, with at least 4 open water dives.

Eligibility:

Age: 15 years or older.
Certification: PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or equivalent).

Prerequisite: Comfort and confidence in open water diving.

After completing the Wreck Diver course, you'll have the skills and knowledge to safely explore shipwrecks and other wreck sites, opening up new underwater adventures. It also prepares you for more advanced wreck diving techniques in the future.
